It's All About the Journey

Today is your future. Live in the moment!

The Universe Inside Me, Virtual Reality

I have given this a great deal of thought lately.  We all live in our own reality.  We have to realize that

I am the most important person in the world.

I’m not wrong.  This is what I perceive to be true.  For me, this is truth.

You see, everyone can see the same thing, but you never see it exactly the same.  I can look at something, and the person standing next to me can see it too.  But their eyes are next to mine, and there is no possible way they can see it exactly the way that I do.

So, to tell someone “oh come on, don’t think that way!” or “seriously, that is not what just happened!” can be considered as showing a lack of respect for them.  If the person is kidding around, that’s one thing.  But if they seriously have seen or taken part in something and interpreted it as thus, then we need to show respect and consider it.  This is who they are.

All of us are living inside of our own reality show.  It’s almost like a virtual reality.  I imagine putting on those virtual reality goggles and we go off into our dreamlike state.  We have an entire universe inside of us.  The world does center around you!  (I thought that was a crazy idea when I first heard that.  I thought, “What?!  That is so self centered!”  Then I thought about it.  While the world spins, we each have our own opinions, our own value system.

Robo-calls, Part 2

I have placed emails to the representatives.  I encourage all who read this to do that as well.  Let’s take this by storm!

Comments welcome!

“Hello! You have recently…”

No, I have not “recently.”
Robo-calls.  I think I need to start writing to government to get rid of them, take a stand, whatever.  Day and night the phone rings.  At least it doesn’t wake me up in the middle of the night, but come on!  I work and I see a “local” call, and it’s a robo-call from a female robot voice, who claims I recently visited at their resort.  I was at no such resort.
Remember the days of the unlisted phone?  You wanted to get rid of an annoying person.  It cost a little more, but an unlisted telephone number was a blessing.
Now, you have to block the number.  The robot finds another number to call you from.
Help me, join in my pursuit.  Let’s get rid of the robots!

The Phone Call

Every night.

Same time.

Same caller.

“Please dial this number immediately as … ”

Go ahead. Fill in the blank: health care updates, your college loan, your computer is at risk, etc.

I tried answering. I finally got one person to stop calling, they said.

There is no rest. Computers dial us randomly. Definitely a sign of our times.

Do you remember the old days? If someone bugged you, you simply changed your telephone number and/or made it unlisted. The worst case was the party line, and you had to wait your turn and hope no one was relating an entire soap opera, or two star crossed teenagers were breathing into the receiver!

There really ought to be a law! You think?

2018 The Year Ahead

What is our world, if we have not the encouraging word?

Act singly, and what you have already done singly will justify you now. The force of character is cumulative. –Ralph Waldo Emerson

Step out. Be true to yourself. Do not hurt others, do good to all. Then peace will come.

Didja Notice?

  • Russia influences US election
  • Police racial brutality and protests on the rise
  • Mass shootings
  • Tearing down southern rebel monument
  • Hurricanes in the south
  • Fires in the West
  • Sexual allegations in Hollywood and government

Do you wonder? What is the next catastrophe we will need to face?

All of this pushed by media. Now, I’m not saying these are not important. They are. But have you noticed how they are coming in waves? Maybe it’s lunar. The moon affecting the tide of humanity.

Just wondering…

The Tale of 3 Little Kittens

Cats.  Can you do it?  Can you truly invite them into your home as a guest?

No.  I’m afraid not.  You invite them to rule.  They dictate.  Even at a tiny age.  This is what we have endured and enjoyed for the last 3 weeks.

They were “dropping like flies” in the milking parlor.  Kittens mixed in with cows haven’t got much of a chance.  The cows are gentle, yes, but they are BIG.  And kittens tend to get lost outdoors.  So, as a last ditch effort, as we found, we brought into the house (even though forbidden by the farmer, the farmer brought them in)!

This is Olive and Rambo.  There is always someone mewing!  Olive can be quite vocal.  And she talks in her throat quite a bit too, when not commanding.

We have learned to tiptoe so as to not wake them.  (I have dubbed them screaming meanies–they hear and they come running, they all start mewing and trying to climb upon you!  You hide in the bedroom, hoping they will fall asleep, and the last 3 nights, they have found us anyway, and climbed into the bed with us, I gave in, what can I say?)

Very smart, they took right to their facilities and have eaten quite well.  We spent time on the internet to try to figure it out, kitten milk vs. cow milk and digestive systems, etc.

Being so little, we have had to teach them to bathe.  They get bathed daily.  So far they don’t know that cats and kittens don’t like water.  And then they get a blow dry.

They are front and center on love.

Or waiting for it.

img_8102

They have warmed their way into our hearts!

They all will have new homes today.  And we will have kitten liberation.

But we will miss them, just a little bit!
